As the proud members of the Central European Digital Media Observatory (CEDMO), we would like to invite you to an International Conference Europe Tackles Informational Chaos #CIC2022. This one-and-a-half-day conference open to the general public will take place in Prague under the auspices of the Czech Presidency of the European Union(#EU2022CZ) on September 22–23, 2022.
The experts and key stakeholders – including EU nad CEE representatives, NGOs, academics, think tanks, journalists, legislative and technology actors – will explore a comprehensive range of topics presented during the Grand Opening and eight panels, such as:
- Impact of Disinformation on Society
- Role of Fact-checking
- Technology and AI
- Chinese and Russian Propaganda and Disinformation in Europe
- Disinformation, Media Freedom and Journalism etc.
The keynote speech titled The Role of the European Commission in Fighting Disinformation will be delivered by Věra Jourová, Vice President of the European Commission for Values and Transparency. She will speak at the Grand Opening in the Mayor's Residence right after Prague's Mayor Zdeněk Hřib.
