FutureMED 2022

This year, we participate in the FutureMED 2022 conference dedicated to the use of advanced technologies in civil and military medicine. It will take place on September 23-24, 2022 on the campus of the University of Hradec Králové. The highlight of the event will be an experimental telementoring of simulated surgery in combat conditions via 3D satellite transmission. Call for papers runs until August 20.

The Faculty of Military Health of the University of Defense joined forces with CTU in Prague (represented by Miroslav Bureš from our department), the University of Hradec Králové and the Defsec Innovation Hub to organize FutureMED 2022 conference in Hradec Králové. The two-day event for doctors, health professionals and IT specialists is organized as part of the Futuremed project which focuses on healthcare technologies.

The conference aims to present advanced technologies and their application in military healthcare, clinical fields, or during disasters. Presentations on future trends, upcoming research projects in the field of electronic health care (eHealth), or a demonstration of the training of medical professionals in the ICU using VR are prepared for the attendees.

A highly anticipated part of the program is an experiment of three surgical operations performed in the field under the remote control of specialists from the Central Military Hospital in Prague. Telemonitoring will take place during a live 3D satellite transmission of the surgery in the simulated deployment area of the Czech army units.

Practitioners, industry experts, scientists and students are more than welcome to join the audience. Contributions for active participation in the conference are accepted until August 20 (read more about CfP).
