International Cybercrime Research Summer Award 2022

Student award competition for the best research analysis of leaked data files from the perspective of criminology using computer science knowledge.

In early 2022, the chat log files of the most prolific ransomware group Conti were published online, opening the door to a deep analysis of the group's operation. Many security researchers dug quickly into the data, including Brian Krebbs, Forescout or Malwarebytes, yet much insight into cybercrime operations has yet to be extracted from this leak.

This competition is organized by our cybersecurity research laboratory (Stratosphere). Its aim is to better understand cybercrime by utilizing computer science tools.
